ZERO LEAKAGE METAL SEATED SEVERE SERVICE BALL VALVES FOR LLOYDS METALS AND ENERGY LIMITED’S IRON ORE SLURRY PIPELINE IN INDIA
AMPO POYAM VALVES is designing and manufacturing 65 metal seated severe service ball valves up to 18” and 1500 lbs for a 85 km slurry pipeline, that will transport iron ore concentrate from Surjagarh iron ore mine to Konsari steel plant at Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra in India. The project includes the Surjagarh pump station with slurry pumps and tanks, a slurry pipeline and slurry valves, as well as the Konsari terminal station with slurry tanks. The project is being executed by Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL), who is a leader in the mining of iron ore, manufacturing of sponge iron and power generation in India.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has carefully designed and is already manufacturing all those metal seated severe service ball valves (slurry pipeline valves), which will ensure zero leakage rate for a really demanding application. Iron ore projects are one of the most severe applications in terms of performance. Some of the AMPO POYAM metal seated ball valves will be hydraulic-operated.
It has been our deep knowledge and experience on severe service valves globally and in India and our long history what made LMEL to entrust the award of this challenging contract to AMPO POYAM VALVES. AMPO is a worldwide leader in highly engineered and fluid handling solutions for the most extreme environments and always offers the most suitable ad-hoc valve designs and material selection for each application.
It should also be noted that AMPO POYAM VALVES has currently thousands of highly engineered severe service valves installed for the most severe services worldwide, for various applications, such as; mining, oil and gas production, LNG, petrochemical and chemical plants, refineries, offshore and subsea applications, pipelines, etc.
