Sabine Pass Liquefaction terminal (Louisiana, US)
CHALLENGE:
US natural gas operator Cheniere has requested several times valves commissioning services during diverse LNG trains and marine berths construction and start-up to AMPO SERVICE.
Cheniere began operations in 2016 and is already the largest producer of LNG in the United States and the second largest LNG operator in the world.
SOLUTION:
AMPO POYAM VALVES has provided on-site after sales services several times, supporting the construction, commissioning and start-up of the different SABINE PASS LNG trains and marine berths with a team of several engineers of AMPO SERVICE. We always have worked together with Bechtel’s engineering team in order to ensure a successful start-up of the project.
Our engineers have been involved in the commissioning of the plant in order to avoid unexpected issues related to valves. This work is always developed in tight collaboration with Bechtel’s team, achieving excellent results for the project.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied since 2012 thousand and thousands of highly engineered valves for trains 1 to 6 of Sabine Pass LNG liquefaction project and a series of valves for the first three trains of Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG project. Some of them, up to 54” cryogenic ball valves, non-cryogenic valves and metal seated ball valves. Moreover, it also supplied 36” and 42” HIPPS valves, which achieved a perfect isolation in less than 2 seconds. So consequently, more than 20,000 AMPO POYAM valves are installed in total at the different trains owned by Cheniere in USA.
