Ampo Poyam Valves has been awarded the contract to manufacture more than 1500 high added value valves for ENNORE LNG
Currently thousands of AMPO valves are installed in every regasification plant of India and ENNORE LNG will be no the exception. Indian Oil Corporation and the EPCs Mitsubishy Heavy Industries and Black & Veatch have trusted again in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of more than 1500 highly engineered valves for ENNORE LNG plant, which is located in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The valves’ sizes will range from ½” to 36” and the pressure range will vary from 150 to 1500 lbs.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is currently building two LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters each, whereas Black & Veatch is in charge of the construction of the regasification facilities, which will have an initial capacity of 5 mtpa’s. In a second phase they expect to expand the capacity up to 15 mtpa’s.
ENNORE LNG plant is scheduled to be commissioned in 2018 and will install the following AMPO POYAM VALVES: manual cryogenic ball, globe and check valves, cryogenic ball valves with electric and pneumatic actuators and non-cryogenic gate valves with pneumatic actuators. All these actuated valves will also have the SIL certification.
It has been our experience of more than 35 years in the LNG market and in particular in India, which has made the customer entrust the award of this contract to AMPO. Moreover, it should be noted that AMPO POYAM VALVES has since 2009 a 100% owned valve manufacturing plant in India, also in the state of Tamil Nadu, and consequently it will be able to offer an excellent and immediate after sales service to ENNORE LNG.
