Dear customers, suppliers and the entire AMPO family:
It is time to protect our people and our families and to behave responsibly. But it is also time to demonstrate our willingness to work hard to meet our customers’ needs facing the most challenging times of the energy sector. Consequently, and in order to offer the best possible service, our valve manufacturing plant, our foundry as well as our machining shop in Idiazabal (Gipuzkoa, Spain) are currently 100% operational. On the other hand, the Indian government has also given a green light for restarting some segments of the industrial activity in the country and consequently our manufacturing plant in Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu, India) has also restarted operations.
But it is important to mention that our main priority at AMPO is always the people, and with the aim of preserving their health as well as their families’ well-being, we have implemented in whole our manufacturing plants a stringent protocol, reducing social density, maximizing social distance, coordinating infection prevention measures, etc. in full compliance with the guidance provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the local governmental and regulatory authorities.
A global COVID-19 Core Crisis Management Board is in charge of this policy since the beginning of the crisis and it is also monitoring the situation closely and in a daily basis. Since the outset of the crisis we have implemented strict procedures to keep our teams, customers, visitors, suppliers, etc. in good health and safe from the virus. And consequently, another important measure has been the implementation of teleworking for those positions amenable to it, which has been possible due to our robust digital infrastructure.
Although we are still immersed at a time of uncertainty, we know that this collective crisis will pass. We are a project that looks beyond any temporary situation and we are convinced that we will overcome this crisis altogether with unity, effort and commitment. The same unity, effort and commitment that health workers and other social agents have demonstrated to the society during this unprecedented crisis. They are being a wonderful example of dedication, commitment, hard work and solidarity. Moreover, we want also to remember those who have died or have suffered the devastating consequences of this pandemic.
The end of the crisis is closer than yesterday and we will be able to defeat it. We want to continue drawing and building our future, based on our commitment. A commitment made of steel for a future of all of us.
Sincerely,
Jon Gorrotxategi Ibon Imaz
