Thousands of AMPO POYAM valves are currently installed in every regasification plant of India and DHAMRA LNG will not be an exception.
Adani is currently building an LNG terminal at Dhamra Port, north of the mouth of river Dhamra in Bhadrak district of Orissa state in India. The LNG terminal, which is under construction, will have a capacity to produce 15 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) and will be constructed in diverse phases. In the first phase, the terminal will reach an LNG production capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
It will be the second LNG import terminal to be built on India’s east coast, after Ennore terminal in Tamil Nadu, which was opened in March 2019, and where more than 1,500 highly engineered AMPO POYAM valves up to 36” and 1500 lbs are already fully operational.
Dhamra LNG terminal will consist of two full containment LNG storage tanks of 180,000m3 capacity each and they will be developed by L&T Hydrocarbon. On the other hand, the regasification plant itself will be developed by CTCI, who is in charge of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services of the new plant. Both customers have trusted on AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of diverse cryogenic ball valves, both manual and shutdown valves, up to 12” and 1500 lbs for this project. The Spanish company has worked hand in hand with both EPCs on the optimal valve selection for each special and critical application.
It has been our experience of more than 40 years in the LNG market and thousands and thousands of cryogenic valve references worldwide, and in particular in India, which has made the customer entrust the award of this contract to AMPO. Moreover, it should be noted that AMPO POYAM VALVES has since 2009 a 100% owned valve manufacturing plant in India.
