AMPO POYAM VALVES is currently supplying more than 2,550 highly engineered ball, butterfly, gate, globe and check valves for the new Nong Fab LNG receiving terminal project, which will be located in Rayong province, in the south-east of Thailand. The plant, with two storage tanks, a 7.5 mtpa re-gasification facility and a long trestle marine jetty, will have a production capacity of 5 mpta of LNG and will be operated by PTT LNG Company Limited, Thailand’s national oil & gas company. The Nong Fab regasification terminal will have the longest jetty for LNG in the world, one of the biggest LNG tanks worldwide and the longest subsea tunnel constructed by using the jacking methodology. The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of this project is being leaded by SPCC, a joint venture between Saipem and CTCI, some of the main worldwide EPCs in the development of major projects in the energy sector.
For this receiving terminal AMPO POYAM VALVES has designed and manufactured more than 2,550 highly engineered LNG valves: cryogenic ball valves up to 42” and with the pressure varying from 150 lbs to 900 lbs, cryogenic butterfly valves up to 42”and cryogenic and non-cryogenic gate, globe and check valves.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has the widest installed base of LNG valves worldwide, with hundreds of thousands of valves installed in the complete LNG chain. Due to the reliability of its solutions, it is moreover considered a world leader in cryogenic ball valves and large sized valves. Regarding big sized valves, it counts with important previous references such as: 54” cryogenic top entry ball valves for Cheniere, 42” cryogenic ball valves for Shell, 56” split body ball valves with large actuators for Aramco, etc. Moreover it should be noted that butterfly valves developed by AMPO POYAM VALVES are the most innovative and reliable triple eccentric butterfly valves on the market for cryogenic service, which were created to solve the main disadvantages known in this type of valves to ensure maximum reliability.
It had been several years since AMPO POYAM VALVES is working hand in hand with CTCI and SAIPEM on the development of LNG projects as well as on the development of highly engineered valves for many other industries, and that is why they have trusted again in AMPO POYAM VALVES for this project. Moreover it had been also many years since AMPO POYAM VALVES is actively working in Thailand, with PTT as well as many other operators and EPCs.
