OMNIJOIN PROJECT
AMPO S.COOP. has received a grant for its Research and Development project entitled “Integral solution for intelligent control of joining and adjacent processes”. This aid has been financed by Basque Government’s “Hazitek” program.
The OMNIJOIN project is part of a join reflection held by diverse companies belonging to multiple industries of the Basque Country that have identified key needs in the field of joining processes in order to establish a competitive advantage in their sector.
To answer to these needs, from a global perspective of the joining process by electric arc welding, the OMNIJOIN project is presented as an integral solution for the intelligent control of the welding process that considers both the previous and the immediately subsequent stages (treatment, inspection, etc.) to the joining process itself. For that, the integral robotic cell that is being developed at OMNIJOIN assesses the characteristics and conditions imposed by the pre-process stage and acts on them based on the expected impact for the arc welding process itself. Likewise, it controls the main variables of the arc welding process to adapt them in real time to the process conditions and establishes the action on the welded joint for the later stage based on the post-process inspection.
SLAB6A PROJECT
AMPO S.COOP. has also received a grant for its Research and Development project entitled “New range of high pressure Through Conduit valves for CO2 capture and storage”. This aid has been also financed by Basque Government’s “Hazitek” program.
The main aim of the SLAB6A project is to develop a new range of highly reliable and high pressure through Conduit valves that will allow the transport of the CO2 captured and stored along the CSS facilities, guaranteeing operation in the maximum safety conditions at this type of facilities oriented to minimize CO2 volume emitted by the oil and gas industry to the atmosphere.
SystAMPO PROJECT
AMPO S.COOP. has also received a third grant for its Research and Development project entitled “High added value castings development in nickel based alloys”. This aid has been also financed by Basque Government’s “Hazitek” program.
SystAMPO Project’s main objective is to develop high added value castings in nickel based alloys. The great complexity inherent to these alloys demands profound developments in terms of metallurgy, design and process. That is why an ambitious strategy has been structured to ensure the achievement of this objective through actions in the following areas:
- Applications of nickel base alloys.
- Liquid state metallurgy.
- Solid state metallurgy.
- Resistance to corrosión.
- Failure analysis.
