HMEL end user, acting as EPC, has trusted in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of diverse axial check valves, which will be shortly installed at GURU GOBIND SINGH, the fifth biggest refinery in India. This facility has contributed to increase refining capacity of India from 62 to 213 million tones.
These axial check valves will be for hydrogen service and their most important function will be to protect the rotating equipment, avoiding back-flow and preventing hammer-water.
All these valves will be operating in high temperature services, between 326ºC and 423ºC. The Engineering team of AMPO worked intensively in order to develop an optimum technological solution where a minimum pressure drop is achieved on the valves.
It has been our worldwide experience of more than 50 years in the market and in particular in India, which has made the customer entrust the award of this contract to AMPO. HMEL and AMPO had previously collaborated on other projects with successful results, and with this new project the relationship and trust among them has strengthened. With this new reference AMPO POYAM VALVES increases its presence in India and also in refining applications.
