AMPO ATTENDED THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE BASQUE HYDROGEN CORRIDOR (BH2C), AFTER BEING RECOGNIZED AS THE “EUROPEAN H2 VALLEY OF THE YEAR 2022”
On January 24 we participated in the General Assembly of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) in Bilbao. BH2C, whose objective is to contribute to the change of the energy and economic model to advance in the decarbonization of strategic sectors such as energy, mobility, industry and services, being Hydrogen the protagonist in the Basque Country’s transition towards climate neutrality, continues to grow in partners and entities, after also being recognized as the “European H2 valley of the year”, an award given by the Clean Hydrogen Alliance.
In 2023 the main challenges will focus on internal revitalization in order to facilitate synergies and collaborations and on the positioning of BH2C as a reference in the field of Hydrogen both at the national and international level. During this year, important projects will be launched and the first renewable hydrogen will be produced in the Basque Country.
As a member of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor, at AMPO we are adding all our know-how and skills to develop the techno-industrial chain of the hydrogen economy in the Basque Country. A model that will be key both for the Basque Country and for Europe when it comes to facing energy transition.
The project will have an investment of more than 1,500 million euros until 2026, and will suppose the generation of more than 2,000 direct jobs and 6,700 indirect jobs.
