GOIERRI VALLEY’s General Assembly has been held today morning in the main headquarters of AMPO in Idiazabal. In this meeting, whole the representatives of the diverse companies and organizations of GOIERRI VALLEY have approved the Management Plan for 2018.
The Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructure of the Basque Government, Ms. Arantza Tapia, has opened the General Assembly giving a complete support to GOIERRI VALLEY. Among other issues, she highlighted the importance of the collaboration between the leading companies and the SMEs, so that SMEs can acquire a larger dimension and deal with international projects. On the other hand, she has also encouraged, both GOIERRI VALLEY and the companies that made it up, to know and to use the tools that the Basque Government has to support companies in their internationalization.
GOIERRI VALLEY association was launched in June 2017, driven by 33 companies, both leading and SMEs, with the vision of being the driving force of industrial transformation in the Goierri region. The association is already made up by 54 companies. GOIERRI VALLEY, the alliance that joins different industrial and equipment subsectors at a regional level, is formed by 6.154 workers. The association, whose commitment and raison d’etre is to collaborate, leads the industrial transformation of the Goierri region through an active collaboration of the associated companies, sharing knowledge and innovating in order to guarantee industrial competitiveness and future sustainability of the region.
GOIERRI VALLEY, AT A GLANCE:
The companies that make up this unique industrial alliance worldwide, add up to a 2,903 milion euros turnover, with 39 international production plants, in addition to those present nationwide.

2018 MANAGEMENT PLAN:
Looking ahead to 2018, it is expected to exceed the Budget executed in 2017 (€ 200,000). The Budget for the year 2018 is € 347,000.
