At AMPO POYAM VALVES, we are committed to leading the way in sustainable energy solutions, developing and manufacturing highly engineered valve solutions for Carbon Capture. Our valves are designed to handle the extreme conditions of CO2 capture, transportation and storage, ensuring safe, leak-tight operations. From high-pressure to severe service conditions, our products are tailored to meet the unique needs of Carbon Capture projects. With a long history of supplying valves for absorption, adsorption, and various carbon dioxide separation processes in the refinery and chemical industries, we bring extensive expertise in meeting the demands and addressing the challenges of carbon capture and storage technologies.
Project Highlight: DAC-1, the First Commercial-Scale Direct Air Capture (DAC) Facility
AMPO is honored to be a part of DAC-1, the first commercial-scale deployment of Carbon Engineering’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology in the U.S. This groundbreaking facility, developed by 1PointFive and the EPC Worley, will be capable of extracting one million metric tons of CO2 annually directly from the atmosphere, setting a new benchmark in carbon capture technologies.
For this project, AMPO is supplying highly engineered ball and check valves for oxygen service, ensuring optimal performance and safety in critical applications. By contributing to DAC-1, AMPO will help accelerate the global deployment of large-scale DAC technology, a key technology in reducing atmospheric carbon levels.
Additional Success Stories in Carbon Capture
But AMPO’s contributions to CCUS projects go beyond DAC-1. We are delivering highly engineered valve solutions to BP’s Tangguh LNG project, which has incorporated Enhanced Gas Recovery and Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (EGR-CCUS) technologies to its natural gas production facilities in order to reduce Tangguh LNG carbon footprint via CO2 sequestration. And we have also supplied highly engineered valves to Chevron’s Gorgon Project in Australia, in which its CCS system has been designed to capture carbon emissions located at Gorgon LNG facility on Barrow Island.
Driving Sustainability Together
From industry-first deployments to supporting some of the most advanced CCUS projects worldwide, AMPO remains committed to shaping a sustainable energy future. Our expertise, dedication, and innovative solutions ensure that projects meet the most demanding challenges.
